Mae Kidd from Bourbon County, Kentucky as assistant director
for the American Red Cross in Europe during World War II. IN 1968 she was
elected to the Kentucky House of Representatives. There she was best known
for sponsoring two bills, which provided open housing and low-income housing
in our state. Among her many accolades were the NAACP Unsung Heroine, King/Kennedy,
and the Top Ten Outstanding Kentuckians Awards.
