Born Harold Henry Reese in 1918 in Meade County, Kentucky he became known as the great baseball player "Pee Wee Reese." By 1940 Reese broke into the major leagues. He became a Hall of Fame shortstop and captain of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Reese was an eight time All Star, led the Dodgers to seven National League pennants and helped them win a World Series championship in 1955.
