Ruth Booe and Rebecca Gooch mixed marketing savvy with fifty dollars and their sweet tooth to concoct a successful business that has become an enduring Kentucky tradition. Their famous sweets, name Rebecca-Ruth Candy are bourbon spiked, chocolate covered mint delicacies. Booe became sole owner of the business in 1929. Today, the candies are still made by hand with old-fashioned care.
